Dr Sharkey joined Medical Arts centers to serve patients in four various uptown and downtown locations in New York city. Your upcoming encounter at Medical Arts clinics will consist of two visits: - Initial Evaluation is usually done by Dr Sharkey’ Licensed Staff Physician. During this visit, we will conduct procedures and diagnostic tests, as necessary, such as X-Ray, MRI, CT, etc. to create underlying diagnostics and data for proper treatment plan. Dr Sharkey' state of the art office technology provides patients to do all diagnostics on-site, most testing are done during first visit. If needed, Doctor will perform “STAT” / “Wet” (immediate) reading. - Orthopaedic Consultation is performed by Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr Sharkey, where he will evaluate all diagnostics and data and develop comprehensive treatment plan. Once the patient has been diagnosed, Dr Sharkey offers comprehensive, evidence-based pain management care that might include prescribing physical therapy, and/or medication, or invasive treatment. At Medical Arts clinics, Dr Sharkey works together with group of Neurologists and Pain Management doctors, as well as Physical Therapists who provide the best quality care for our patients. Dr Sharkey will refer patients to those specialists if the problem needs to be further investigated.
