It was Allergy - not Flu
Dear Patients,
As we enter spring and the next couple of months of peak flowering season, many people begin experiencing symptoms that can easily be mistaken for a cold, flu, or even COVID.
We’d like to share a recent experience from one of our patients, Jessica:
“I thought I had the flu or even COVID—I felt terrible. Sneezing, coughing, constant postnasal drip… I couldn’t even sleep at night. I was convinced I was really sick.
But the moment I flew to Miami, my symptoms disappeared. That’s when it hit me—it wasn’t a virus, it was allergies.
I went to 14 Street Medical Arts for an allergy test, and sure enough, it confirmed seasonal allergies. Simple fix: I started taking Zyrtec, and everything cleared up.
I would like to thank the doctors at 14 Street Medical Arts for helping me figure this out so quickly.”
During this time of year, increased pollen levels can trigger symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, postnasal drip, coughing, and difficulty sleeping.
If you’re experiencing similar symptoms, it may be worth getting evaluated for seasonal allergies. Proper diagnosis and treatment can make a significant difference in how you feel.
Our team at 14 Street Medical Arts is here to help you stay healthy and comfortable this spring.
