Authorizations. The authorization process is very complicated. In many cases, your insurance company will deny authorization for high-cost items, such as an MRI or CT scan. It may require completion of an X-ray or multiple weeks of Physical Therapy.
You Have Commercial Insurance. That means you're responsible for copays, deductibles, and coinsurance — no matter where you go. So, whether it’s a hospital or another facility, you’ll likely be paying out of pocket regardless.
